Macaulay Culkin’s Estranged Father Fears for His Son’s Life

Macaluay Culkin’s father has pleaded with the star to get help after reports this month suggested he is addicted to heroin.

Although the father and son have not spoken in 15 years, Kit Culkin desperately wants Macaulay to seek help.

The former child star is believed to be addicted to heroin and the powerful painkiller Oxycodone and is spending up to €4,800 per month to get his fix.

According to The Irish Sun, Kit said: “I hope that he has the right people looking after him.”

The pair fell out 15 years ago and Kit said he hopes to reconcile with his son before it is too late.

Kit’s partner Jeanette said that the difficult relationship between the pair is hard on him.

She said Kit couldn’t even look at the worrying photographs that emerged of Macaulay in February.

“Oh gosh. Kit has seen the photo. But he can’t talk about it.

“He just can’t because it hurts him too much. Of course he’s worried he’s incredibly concerned.

“When I saw the photos I thought ‘Oh no, this is not good. Either he’s dying of some disease or he’s heavily into drugs,” she said.

Despite the allegations, Macaulay and his reps have denied that the star has a drug problem.

Jeanette said she had suspicions about Macaulay’s heroin use in the past.

“Now we’re hearing he’s denying the allegations – but certainly looks like he is on drugs. He looks awful,” she said.

Macaulay and his father fell out after the star legally blocked his parents from controlling his €14 million fortune.

Macaulay said he disassociates himself with the idea of his child star personality.

“I disassociated myself from ‘Macaulay Culkin’ mentally. When I was 14 and I quit, I said ‘I’m never doing that again.’ Say whatever you want about me, that I’m crazy, that I’m an alcoholic. Call me an addict. I don’t give a sh*t anymore,” he said.
