Tensions are running high in America since the election of Donald J. Trump to the highest office in the land.
Yesterday, Trump was sworn-in before a crowd in Washington DC — precipitating major demonstrations across the world today, organised by women.
Singer and icon Madonna spoke at the Women’s March in DC today, and she didn’t waste much time before getting to the point.
“And to our detractors that insist that this march will never add up to anything: fuck you. Fuck. You.”

Luckily for those of us who could not be present at the event, CNN inadvertently broadcast the remarks before hastily apologising for the language heard.
“I just need to apologize for the multiple f-bombs by Madonna. That happens, and we apologise here at CNN for that.”
Somehow, we suspect that Madge herself isn’t feeling quite so apologetic.
