A man has been arrested over the death of Gone Girl actress Lisa Banes. The 65-year-old, who was best known for her role in the David Fincher film, passed away in June after she was hit by a scooter in New York City. A 26-year-old man has since been arrested in connected with the death. According to local police, Brian Boyd was charged on Thursday with leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death and failure to stop for a pedestrian. Banes was knocked over by an electric scooter on June 4, when she was on the way to meet her wife Kathryn Kranhold for dinner. The actress suffered a brain injury following the incident and died 10 days later. At the time, a representative for Banes said they were "heartsick" over her "tragic and senseless passing." "She was a woman of great spirit, kindness and generosity and dedicated to her work, whether on stage or in front of a camera and even more so to her wife, family and friends," they said. "We were blessed to have had her in our lives.” Banes played Rosamund Pike's mother in the 2014 blockbuster film Gone Girl, though she got her start in acting on the stage.
