A man has appealed to Westlife star Shane Filan to intervene and save him from the doghouse, after he threw his girlfriend’s favourite CD out the car window.
Kevin McCann got into a heated argument with his girlfriend after breaking wind in the car and in the heat of the moment, threw the album out of the vehicle.
However, he later realised that the disc was a signed copy of Shane Filan’s solo album that was one of Jennifer’s prized possessions and the dad-of-one has been forced to sleep on the couch to ponder his mistake.
McCann told The Daily Record that his only hope for getting back in his girlfriend’s good books for Christmas is if Filan signs another copy for her.
“I will need to sort out new digs if Shane does not help me out. The last words she said to me were ‘Kevin, I have loved Westlife and Shane since I was 11 – that is way longer than I have loved you’,” he said in a post to the singer’s Facebook page.
“When it went out, she called me a horrible person and explained it been signed and was also a gift from friends. Then she had a good cry which made me feel horrendous. The worst part is it turns out the CD and case had been signed by your good self. No amount of me claiming it probably wasn't you that signed it in first place would calm her down. If I am honest, that made it worse. This has resulted in uncomfortable nights on the couch."
