Mariah Carey is the new face of Walkers crisps and she’s making a sweet fortune

As you do.

Denise Curtin

All she wants for Christmas is…

A. To be the face of her favourite crisp brand?

B. To make a sweet fortune at her most profitable time of year thanks to her 1994 single?

Who knows, it’s such a tough one to call.

Anyways, in more bizarre collaboration news, Mariah Carey is said to be the new face of Walkers Christmas adverts.

The campaign cleverly coincides with the 25th anniversary of her 1994 track which she’s also re-releasing on November 1 because, again, she obviously just loves the holiday.

Mariah is said to make a staggering £9 million from the deal, revealing that she “can’t say too much about the campaign yet, but there may be some fun twists at the end.”

Interesting.

The festive star is also going on tour across the UK this Christmas. She’ll play Nottingham on 9 December, Leeds on 10 December and the O2 in London on 11 December in what’s expected to be full of Christmas bangers and cheer.

Walkers also added their excitement to have the noughties queen of pop onboard. Wayne Newton, head of marketing at Walkers, said:

“With Mariah on board too, our Christmas spirit has just stepped up a gear. We can finally announce that the Queen of Christmas herself will be the star of our biggest ever Walkers Christmas advert.”

We’re sure we’ll be seeing this advert everywhere before we know it.
