Plagiarism is probably one of the biggest online crimes, and god love him he was doing a good thing, but Russell Wilson just got caught with a dot.
Taking to Twitter for #WomanCrushWednesday, the 27-year-old Seattle quarterback wanted his message about his beautiful girlfriend to be absolutely perfect.
Posting a picture of the
1 2 Step singer, he wrote:
"I kissed her & she had honey sweet lips that were lilac soft w/ a loving & affectionate personality."
Poetic? Check. Romantic? Check. A bit strange? Definitely check.
Billboard editor Natalie Weiner suspected something was up and did a little research of her own, only to find that the words were lifted from a wordpress site that offered writing tips to describe a beautiful woman.
Help.
She wrote: "For the record, I googled his weird tweet [because] I thought it might be lyrics. Never could have possibly imagined how sad the reality was."
However, it didn't end there.
The very same day, he took to Instagram to describe Ciara's "plunging" hair of "midnight black".
Think that adjective sounds suspicious? You're right.
