Before she married a prince and became one of the most-watched women in the world, Meghan Markle was a gal who shared her interests on her blog, The Tig.
The site covered everything from food to fashion as well as travel, one of Meghan’s big passions.
The now-duchess has just returned from a royal tour that included stops in New Zealand – but it wasn’t the first time she’d been there.
Meghan travelled there in 2014 and wrote about her trip on The Tig.
She was convinced by her Suits co-star Gabriel Macht (AKA Harvey Spector) to go there and rather than travel by private jet as she and Harry did, she and her pals discovered the country by camper van.
“This would be an ode to the road trips I took with my dad, the years of being a girl scout under the helm of my mom as troop leader, and my gravitational pull towards what is said to be one of the most beautiful countries in the world,” she wrote.
The photos that accompany the blog post show a very different girl to the one we saw in designer gowns greeting crowds and giving speeches on the royal tour.
2014 Meghan looks super relaxed, perching on some rocks in hiking gear, chilling out with some wine by the beach and even getting that Insta-perfect jumping in the air shot.
