We all know how to drink tea properly, right?
However, if we were sat in front of the Queen of England, we’d all be conscious of making a few mistakes – and that went for Meghan Markle too.
Before she met Queen Elizabeth, Meghan went to an etiquette expert to learn how to use a knife and fork, as well as how to drink tea ‘the right way’.
According to the Daily Mail, the lesson lasted a full two hours and she even enjoyed it (we don’t know if we could say the same).
Edmund Fry, who runs the Rose Tree Cottage tea room in California said: “She enjoyed it so much that she wanted to come back. The younger generation doesn’t know what bone china is and certainly doesn’t know anything about how to handle a cup and saucer or how to handle a knife and fork.”
He continued: “She knew she would be having tea with the queen. Here, they really do not know what to do. What we have found is that we give them a little information if they are interested and watch what happens.”
Since she’s constantly having tea with the Queen now (we’re guessing, we don’t know), she must be an expert just like Edmund now.
