We wouldn't have guessed this.

Meghan Markle has been given a very sweet nickname by Prince Charles.

One the day of Prince Harry and Meghan’s wedding in May 2018, Prince Charles gave Meghan away to his son after she walked part of the aisle on her own.

It was a lovely moment to watch and it was very clear that Prince Charles and the Duchess got on very well as they smiled and chatted quietly for a brief moment.

They get on so well that Prince Charles seemingly has a nickname for Meghan and we could never have guessed it, not in a million years.

According to royal sources, Meghan has been christened Tungsten because like the metal of the same name, she is tough.

Although it might not sound that way initially, this is, in fact, a compliment and according to The Mail on Sunday, the ‘affectionate’ nickname has stuck.

According to one royal insider, Prince Charles admires Meghan and he believes that Prince Harry “needs a tungsten-type figure in his life as he can be a bit of a softy”.

It’s not what you might call a typical nickname but according to those in the know at Buckingham Palace, it’s become a “term of endearment”.

Between this random fact and the photos of Meghan and the Queen getting on like a house on fire, it’s clear that the former Suits actress has settled into royal life like a duck to water.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are due to christen their baby son, Archie, tomorrow, 6 July, at Windsor Castle and it’s sure to be a special day for the family.

According to reports, they won’t be revealing the names of Archie’s godparents but an official family portrait is likely to follow indue course.

It may even be revealed on their official Instagram account, Sussex Royal, simialr to previous photos of the little boy.
