Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are reportedly set to do a tell-all interview with Gayle King.

The news comes after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex recently announced they would be “stepping back” from their roles as senior members of the royal family.

And Page Six reports that the couple will be doing a tell-all interview with Gayle King after the details of their departure from the royals are ironed out.

King attended Meghan’s baby shower in New York City last year, and later visited the Duke and Duchess of Sussex after the birth of their son Archie.

“It’s hush-hush, but there’s no one else they would turn to,” an insider told the publication.

The couple announced on Wednesday evening that, “after many months of reflection and internal discussions”, they were planning to start to “carve out a progressive new role within this institution.”

“We intend to step back as ‘senior’ members of the Royal Family and work to become financially independent, while continuing to fully support Her Majesty The Queen,” their statement said.

“It is with your encouragement, particularly over the last few years, that we feel prepared to make this adjustment. We now plan to balance our time between the United Kingdom and North America, continuing to honour our duty to The Queen, the Commonwealth, and our patronages.”

The Sussexes said that the “geographic balance” would enable them to raise their son, Archie, for an “appreciation for the royal tradition into which he was born, while also providing our family with the space to focus on the next chapter, including the launch of our new charitable entity.”
