“He just hopes the interview hasn’t affected things.”

Meghan Markle’s dad is said to be worried he is being “frozen out” by the royal family after his interview with Good Morning Britain.

The 73-year-old did a two-and-a-half hour long interview with Piers Morgan last week, where he talked about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s plans to have children – as well as the prince’s political beliefs.

Mr. Markle is said to have been paid “a few thousand pounds” for the tell-all, which he claimed was done to clear up the fall-out and negative press from the staged paparazzi photos and the fact that he missed the wedding.

In the aftermath of the interview, he is reportedly worried he is being frozen out by the royal family – and is upset that he didn’t get a Father’s Day card from his daughter.

A source told The Sun

“There has been nothing from the palaces, which he is surprised about.

“He just hopes the interview hasn’t affected things.

“He wanted to discuss travelling to the UK, or the couple visiting him. He still hasn’t met Harry, and is desperate for it to happen.”

It comes as Megan Markle is said to have been left “devastated” by the interview.

A source close to the royal had said that Meghan “doesn’t understand” why her dad has shared more details of her life with the public again.

The source told Yahoo News:

“She is trying so hard to fit in and adapt to this very new way of life and she was once again blindsided by a father who supposedly cares about her and doesn’t want to embarrass her.”
