“Axe murderers kill 19 people and their daughters still come and visit them in prison.”

Meghan Markle’s father, Thomas, has pleaded with her to “end his nightmare” and contact him.

The 74-year-old has not been in contact with the Duchess of Sussex since she wed Prince Harry in May 2018.

He explained to The Sun that the continued silence from Meghan and Harry has made life miserable for his family.

The retired lighting director added that this time should be one of the “proudest moments of his life”, with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex preparing to welcome their first child this year.

Thomas continued:

“Now it’s like a dream that has turned into a nightmare. The royals and Meghan can help end this nightmare by simply giving me a call. To this day, I cannot think of anything I’ve done to deserve how I’m being treated now.

“I’ve been a good father I’ve done nothing wrong. Axe murderers kill 19 people and their daughters still come and visit them in prison.

“It’s just incomprehensible for Meghan to treat me this way.”

Thomas went on to encourage Meghan to heal the rumoured rift between her and Kate Middleton.

Over the last few weeks, there has been plenty of speculation that the two Duchesses have fallen out after reports accusing Meghan of making Kate cry at a bridesmaid dress fitting before the royal wedding emerged.

Thomas told how he is heartbroken that he can’t help the pair resolve the rumoured rift.

He added:

“If there is any animosity between Meghan and Kate they should put their differences aside. I’m very upset by the criticism Meghan is getting.

“I don’t think she deserves it and I don’t think she is doing one third of the things she is being accused of doing.

“I don’t believe that Meghan is trying to hurt [Kate] in any shape or form. But at the moment I cannot call Meghan and say ‘What is going on? How can I help you?’

“I need to know what the hell is happening and why it is happening. I need to know why she is being bashed every day.”
