Ever since the rumours began earlier this year, we have been keeping our fingers crossed for a Spice Girls reunion.
The popstars got back together again in February for a brunch, teasing that there was an exciting opportunity coming up. And fans’ hopes were high that they would soon be belting out Stop! once again in stadiums.
The rumours of a tour have been running rampant ever since, with the on-again-off-again speculation swirling for months.
But besides consistent reassurances from Mel B that the tour is “definitely” happening, there hasn’t been too many more details available about who is going to be taking part – or if a tour is happening at all.
However, in what sounds like a super awkward conversation, Mel C is said to have finally agreed to take part in the Spice Girls reunion….provided her former bandmates take singing lessons.
According to The Sun, Mel isn’t having a go at Mel B, Geri or Emma’s signing voices – she just realises they haven’t performed together in years, and wants to make sure things go smoothly with the comeback gigs.
Taking charge of the situation, Mel is also said to be keen on overseeing the band’s musical arrangements of their back catalogue – as well as working with a live band to re-imagine the songs for 2019.
The publication notes that while the Spice Girls will be reuniting, they are determined to do it in a surprising way.
Needless to say, we can’t wait to see what they come up with.
