Molly Mae Hauge looking to launch an anti-trolling campaign after Love Island experience

She got a bit of stick while on the show.

We saw it for ourselves. While Molly Mae was on Love Island all the trolls came out to criticise her. Many said that she was faking her relationship with Tommy. Others said that she was just on the show for money. Some criticised her looks.

And it seems even a few celebs got in on the trolling.

Obviously, being trolled is never nice – or easy – and Molly Mae Hauge wants to create an anti-trolling campaign for social media.

Speaking to the Mirror Online, she said: “One thing I was really shocked about when I came out was a lot of celebrities that I looked up to and really loved, I’d go back on their accounts to see what they’d been saying and a lot had been joining in on the trolling and negativity against me.

“Like a Victoria’s Secret model who I’d adored for ages joining in on it and it was so hard to see. There were a lot of celebrities encouraging negativity.”

She continued on to say that she reads every single comment that comes in on her social media channels and while she’s a strong person, she still finds it hard sometimes.

“You can’t get away from it. I read every single comment that comes through my inbox, I read every single tweet.

“I’m very thick-skinned so it doesn’t get to me but I know someone who is less so really could be because some of the things that are said to me are vile.”
