‘New ground’: Irina Shayk discusses life after ending Bradley Cooper relationship

Jade Hayden

“Two great people don’t have to make a good couple.”

Irina Shayk has said that she felt lucky to have experienced her time with ex Bradley Cooper while they were still together.

The supermodel and actor called quits on their relationship last year. They had been together for four years.

Irina told British Vogue this week that life without Bradley is “new ground.”

“Life after Bradley is definitely reflective, and I think in all good relationships you bring your best and your worst – it’s just the nature of a human being,” she said.

“Two great people don’t have to make a good couple. I think we’ve been very lucky to experience what we had with each other.”

Irina and Bradley have one child together, daughter Lea De Seine, who was born in 2017.

She said that although she finds it difficult to balance being a working woman and a single mother, she is adamant that “cutting ties” with men who are not in her life anymore is the best act for her.

“I have a strong personality and I definitely know what I want, and I think some men are scared of that,” she said.

“If somebody’s out of my life, they’re out of my life and I really cut all the ties, you know? I think some people are really scared of this coldness.

“I also think not many people know that underneath this there’s a nice, sweet person who cries in interviews.”

Irina and Bradley’s breakup came not long after rumours surrounding the actor’s relationship with A Star Is Born so-star, Lady Gaga.

Both Gaga and Bradley later refuted the claims that anything was going on between them during this time, stating that they had “fooled everyone” into believing that they had fallen deeply, deeply in love.

Fair enough, like.
