Nicky Reveals That None of the Westlife Boys Are…

They might have had more UK number ones than they could count on two hands and more fans than they could have ever imagined but apparently there is something that the Westlife boys are lacking. And yes, it might just surprise you!

Nicky Byrne has revealed that none of the boys are extremely wealthy after their days in the successful boy band.

Westlife were one of the most successful boy bands ever.

The 34-year-old singer told the Irish Independent that it’s not just Shane Filan, who was declared bankrupt earlier this year, that was a little foolish with his money.

He explained: “We have all lost money. We were all very foolish with money in the early days, we all bought cars and watches – the silly things.”

Although the former Strictly Come Dancing star did say that in the early days it was different: “We did very well out of Westlife but everybody lives and spends… In the early days we earned great money, and in the latter days it was all gone.

“We all looked after it as best we could but none of us are absolutely minted,” the father-of-two added.

Nicky was surprised by how much he was recognised from Strictly Come Dancing.

Nicky has previously admitted that he doesn’t think anything will ever quite live up to his days in the boy band but that he is keen to carve out a career in television.

“At this time of the year we would usually be very busy promoting an album. I’m not the sort of person who likes to sit around and do nothing.” Well, if that doesn’t work out, we would be happy for him to come into the Her.ie offices and teach us how to dance!
