We already know that Olivia Wilde is a really amazing lady. Not only is she a pretty good actress, she is also hilariously funny. If you don’t believe us, check out her Twitter account.
However, GQ’s Tom Carson didn’t seem to be aware of that fact but we’re pretty sure he is now!
Carson fell into that same loop that so many fall into, thinking that just because a woman is beautiful, her talent must end there. Not true, ladies and gentlemen, definitely not true. All the Her staff can tell you that! Oh Tom. Silly Tom.
In his review of Olivia’s new film, Third Person, Carson wrote the following: “Neeson and Wilde get up to some believably wayward antics: games, one-upmanship, the kind of desire for each other that comes from old acquaintance rather than novelty. She’s supposed to be a writer too, but your belief in that won’t outlast Wilde scampering naked through hotel corridors once Neeson playfully locks her out of his room. With that tush, who’d need to be literate? Who’d want to?”
Yes, pretty offensive. And then, Olivia got involved.
HA. Kiss my smart ass, GQ. “@Jezebel: Olivia Wilde’s ass too nice for her to play a writer, says GQ review http://t.co/WJx8BbjWgJ”

Thankfully, GQ apologised for the horrible comments.
We blew it, @oliviawilde. We regret that boneheaded joke in Tom Carson’s “Third Person” review. So does he.

As always, well played Olivia. Well played.
