Olympic Gold Medallist Marries Tinder Fiancé Following Whirlwind Romance

Talk about a whirlwind romance!

Apparently, there is currently at least one Tinder marriage every day. 

One such wedding was that of Olympic gold medallist Amy Williams and her new husband Craig Ham which took place recently in Bath, UK.

The couple met on Tinder last year.

Amy, who won gold at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver in the skeleton bob event, swiped right for soldier Craig only eighteen months ago.

Speaking to Hello! magazine, the 32-year-old, who had resigned herself to being single, opened up about the pair’s whirlwind romance.

Craig proposed to Amy after just twelve weeks. 

She said: “After two weeks together it was like, ‘This is it’.

“I was thinking about the awesome days in my life and realised a wedding day tops everything.”

Amy admitted she had resigned herself to being single.

The athlete revealed that they had tried to slow down their relationship but that their connection was just too strong.

She added: “I swear, we felt we had known each other forever.

“I really believe in soulmates, and instantly, it was like, I know this guy. It’s as if he has always been there.”

The couple were wed in Amy’s hometown. 

The blushing bride wore a white Augusta Jones dress at the ceremony which took place in St Nicholas’s Church in Bathampton, the village where Amy was raised.
