This week, we caught a sneaky peek inside the 2015 Guinness World Records book, ahead of its release on September 11.

Boy band wonders One Direction have secured the title of the ‘First Act to Debut at No. 1 with first three albums’ following the success of Midnight MemoriesUp All Night and Take Me Home.

Meanwhile, Kate Perry is another new record holder, being the musician with the most Twitter followers, with a whopping 52,463,838 people following the Roar singer.

Metallica became the first and only band to perform on all seven continents, while Miley Cyrus has the honour of being the Most Searched for Pop Star on the Internet.

Global hit Frozen scooped Highest Box Office Film Gross For an Animation, while Shakira is the Most ‘Liked’ Person on Facebook, being the first person to also reach 100 million likes on Facebook.

Also claiming a spot in the book is Jennifer Lawrence, who is the Highest Grossing Action Movie Heroine. While Eminem took top spot for Most Words in a Hit Single (1,560 words to be precise!).

Other records that made the bumper 60th anniversary edition of the book include Robert Downey Jr. (Fastest time to reach one million followers), Vin Diesel for a Facebook photo of himself and the late Paul Walker (Most ‘likes’ on an item).

Beyonce secured the Fastest Selling iTunes album, while hit movie The Wolf of Wall Street got the record for the Most Swearing in one film with a total count of 687 expletives, which is an average of almost four swear words a minute!
