A diamond spider ring once worn by singer Samantha Mumba is currently on auction. While bidding began at a mere pound, the current bid stands at £89,025 with the next minimum bid being £96,148. The interesting piece was worn by Mumba at the star-studded Spiderman 2 premiere. It was created in 2005 by the Antwerp-based Dali Diamond Company. The unique 8-sided diamond has 49 facets instead of the typical 57. The ring accompanied Mumba’s famous $13 million spider web dress. The dress was designed by Scott Henshall and is thought to be the most expensive dress ever made. The ring is being auctioned on catawiki.co.uk by renowned dealer Iris Hendricks. The spider ring weighs approximately 103 grams with a total diamond weight of 20,37 carats. The auctioneers estimate that it will sell for between £327,610 and £427,320. Bidding closes in 6 days.
