Dani Dyer has revealed she suffered a miscarriage before she welcomed her son Santiago
Former Love Island star Dani Dyer has opened up about suffering a miscarriage before the birth of her first child, Santiago.
The mum-of-three bravely spoke out about her heartbreaking loss on Jamie Laing's podcast Great Company.
"Before I got pregnant with Santi, I got pregnant, and then that didn’t work out, but then I wanted a baby, because that didn’t work out. I was like, ‘Well, I want a baby, so this month I’m not going to be careful."
Dani explained that it was a very early miscarriage, but she was incredibly nervous when she got pregnant again.
"When I got pregnant again, I mean, I don’t know how many scans I had. I was up there all the time. I was literally knocking at the door, like, ‘Can you check again? Can you check again? They’re like ‘Dani, come.’ I had a portfolio of (scans of) Santi, honestly, he wasn’t ever born… I just thought I needed to see him one more time."
"Pregnancy is so scary, so scary, because it is like you’re growing a baby, like it’s a miracle, in a sense, looking after them and making sure you’re doing the right things, and don’t eat this, don’t eat that. It was scary for me."
Dani is a mum to son Santiago, whom she shares with her ex-partner Sammy Kimmence.
Kimmence and the reality star welcomed their baby boy in 2021, but broke up after Kimmence was sent to jail for 42 months after it was revealed that he scammed elderly people out of €34,000.
She later met and married Premier League footballer Jarrod Bowen. The couple welcomed twins named Summer and Star in May 2023.
