Prince Harry has opened up on his future within the royal family now that his father is King, and more specifically if he’ll be going to his coronation on 6 May 2023.

In a new clip shown on ITV’s Lorraine this morning, Harry can be seen speaking to former royal correspondent and friend Tom Bradby in a new bombshell interview ahead of his memoir, Spare, being released.

“If you are invited to the coronation will you come?” Tom asks the Duke of Sussex, to which he responds: “There’s a lot that can happen between now and then.”

Harry, 38, continues: “But, the door is always open. The ball is in their court. There’s a lot to be discussed and I really hope that they’re willing to sit down and talk about it.”

Also in the interview, Tom said: “Wouldn’t your brother say to you, ‘Harry, how could you do this to me after everything? After everything we went through?’ Wouldn’t that be what he would say?”

“He would probably say all sorts of different things,” Harry responded.

Tom then said: “Some people will say you’ve railed against invasions of your privacy all your life and the accusation will be here are you invading the privacy of your nearest and dearest without permission, now that will be the accusation.”

Harry replied: “That would be the accusation from people that don’t understand or don’t want to believe that my family have been briefing the press.”

Despite this, a report earlier this week indicated that Charles was ready to reconcile with Harry and welcome him back to the family.

A source told The Telegraph: “Those close to the king insist that he has always made clear how much he loves both of his sons, keeping communication channels open throughout the last few years, despite the many barbs from California.”

Insiders added to the publication that Harry’s version of events was “wrong” and Charles and Harry have actually been in contact since he left his post as a senior royal. They even went as far as saying they met up with each other several times during Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations last June.

This report is claiming that their relationship has “occasionally been tense” but that Charles has “reiterated that his door remains open and that the duke and [his wife Meghan Markle] are welcome at any time.”
