Sarah McKenna Barry

He is set to shed light on his relationship with his father and brother.

This weekend will see the airing of a highly-anticipated interview with Prince Harry, where he is expected to go into “unprecedented depth” on issues relating to the Royal Family and his life.

Yesterday evening, it was confirmed that Irish fans would be able to tune in to watch Harry: The Interview this Sunday 8 January at 9pm on Virgin Media One and on the Virgin Media Player.

The interview follows the release of Harry and Meghan Markle’s Netflix series, which offered a peek behind the curtain of their departure from the Royal Family. The interview also comes out two days before the release of Harry’s new memoir, Spare.

The upcoming interview is 90 minutes long, and it was filmed in California, where Harry now lives. The interview will see him go into “unprecedented depth and detail on life in and out of the Royal Family”. Harry will also discuss some of his personal relationships and he is expected to share “never-before-heard” details about the death of his mother Diana. The Princess of Wales was killed in a car crash in France in August, 1997. Harry was 12-years-old at the time.

It is also understood that Harry will share some of his future plans during the interview.

A 20-second preview of the interview shared earlier this week showed Harry speak about his desire to reconcile with his father, King Charles, and his brother, Prince William.

In the clip, he says: “It never needed to be this way. The leaking and the planting… I want a family not an institution.

“They feel as thought it’s better to keep us, somehow, as the villains. They’ve shown absolutely no willingness to reconcile.

“I would like to get my father back. I would like to have my brother back.”

Harry: The Interview airs at 9pm on Sunday 8 January on Virgin Media One and on the Virgin Media Player.
