Prince William and Kate Middleton are set to make a 'big announcement' during the festive period, according to one royal reporter.
Omid Scobie said that the royal couple will break with tradition in the coming days and share some updates, at a time which is normally a very quiet period for the famous family.
He also said that 2020 will be a huge year for Kate Middleton as she focuses on her work with children, particularly the early years age group.

Chatting on
The HeirPod, an ABC podcast, Omid said:
"Expect royal announcements over the holidays, which I think is a slight break away from tradition".
"There was a briefing at Kensington Palace just this week where they gave us a number of new announcements that will be coming out over the holiday period".
He went on to say how planning announcements for this time of year is a very smart idea as it's not the norm and people won't be expecting it.
Omid is royal reporter for the US edition of
Harpers' Bazaar and also contributes to
Good Morning America and
ABC.
During the episode, he also spoke about how Prince William is likely to announce a new project he is working on.
According to this particular royal expert though, 2020 will be a huge year for Kate, in particular.
All in all, it's set to be a big and "busy" year for the couple who have been very much in the public eye for the latter part of 2019, with numerous engagements and appearances.
