“Everything’s so tiny!”

Prince William candidly opened up about the “fear” he had when becoming a father.

The Duke of Cambridge visited a Future Dads session on Thursday, where he learned about the program  and how it aimed to help men develop their confidence in their roles as dads.

The course, set up by the charity Future Men, also provides practical guidance and support for families.

The 36-year-old spoke about being able to relate to the fears that come with having a newborn baby on the way, admitting it was “very vulnerable.”

He said [via PEOPLE]:

“The fear of having a newborn baby, that’s very vulnerable and that’s what you spend most of your time worrying about, thinking ‘what do I do’?

“And that’s the thing isn’t it? It’s very daunting of how tiny they are when they first arrive.”

The dad-of-three was also taken through a number of scenarios that the men attending the course go through, including how to feed and change a baby and dealing with personal health.

He also observed one dad-to-be, whose wife is expecting a baby boy in May, showing how he had been taught to change a diaper.

Prince William also confessed that diaper changing can be a little intimidating as newborns are “so fragile.”

He continued:

“Everything’s so tiny, their little fingers and toes.

“You do feel like if you move them around too much they’re going to break almost but they don’t!”
