Production halted as Blake Lively is injured on movie set in Dublin
Production of The Rhythm Section has been temporarily paused.
Blake Lively has been living in Dublin for the past month to film the forthcoming spy thriller and now it looks like the American actress has taken a turn for the worst, sustaining an injury while filming an action sequence.
The 30-year-old was spotted filming in the St Stephen's Green area of Dublin's city centre on Monday morning and news of the incident had emerged by Monday evening.
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, a spokesperson for the production said:
"Paramount, Global Road (formerly known as IM Global) and producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli today confirmed that filming has been temporarily suspended on The Rhythm Section as Blake Lively sustained an injury to her hand while filming an action sequence.
"Production will resume as soon as possible."
The Rhythm Section, which also stars Jude Law, follows a woman (Lively) that seeks to uncover the truth behind a plane crash that killed her family; a flight that she was meant to be on.
This week, Paramount also gave an official date for the movie, dated for a February 22, 2019 release.
