Rebekah Vardy is set to pay out £3 million.

Rebekah Vardy has been ordered to pay 90% of Coleen Rooney’s legal fees after the Wagatha Christie trial.

Vardy will initially have to pay £800,000 but the total is reportedly £1.5 million.

She also has to pay the legal costs of the Sun, as well as her own costs. Reports claim she could be forking out a whopping £3m.

Vardy has until 4 pm on November 15th to pay the £800,000.

She also has to cover the costs of seven journalists who were potential witnesses during the trial. However, they did not give evidence in court. Rooney is also paying a portion of their costs.

In 2019, Rooney accused Vardy of leaking fake stories about her to the press.

Vardy shut down the claims and then sued Rooney for libel, but lost the trial earlier this year.

Following the verdict, Vardy said she was “extremely sad and disappointed”

The MailOnline reported;

“It is not the result that I had expected, nor believe was just. I brought this action to vindicate my reputation and am devastated by the judge’s finding.”

“As I explained in my evidence I, my family, and even my unborn baby, were subjected to disgusting messages and vile abuse following Coleen’s post and these have continued even during the course of the trial.

“Please can the people who have been abusing me and my family now stop? The case is over. I want to thank everyone who has supported me.”
