A total fangirl.
Now to be fair, if we had the opportunity to meet Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, we would be extremely nervous/excited/delighted, pretty much the exact same reaction as Reese Witherspoon.
The popular actress met the Duchess in 2011 at a fundraiser for Tusk Trust, an organisation set up to protect African wildlife and as fans of the royal family know, this cause is a very important one to Prince William.
Reese recently released her memoir Whiskey in a Teacup and in the book she talks extensively about her encounter with Kate.
Although the Legally Blonde star says that she didn’t think she had much of an obsession with the royal family, that all changed when she received the invite to this event and the chance to chat with Kate.
She screamed when she found out, got up at 4 am on the day itself to do her hair and even her husband said he had never witnessed her so excited before.
Reese said:
“I love Kate Middleton that much. And she did not disappoint!
“She was just lovely and warm, elegant and composed. She also told a joke, and I immediately fell under her spell. She’s just as magnificent as she seems to be. She’s a very compassionate, socially conscious, deeply caring person”.
Awwwwwwh.
