According to reports this evening, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini is to divorce her husband, Jean-Bernard.
The Sunday Mirror said that the X Factor judge has filed for divorce after 18 months, citing irreconcilable differences.
The publication reports that the couple split five months ago, with the news only coming to light now.
A source said: “In the end Cheryl realised she had married too soon and had been swept away by a bit of a whirlwind romance.
The split is believed to be amicable
“Over time it became clear to each of them that they were very different people and from very different worlds.
“They are now focusing on making sure they stay friends.
The divorce is amicable and they have both said they will always be there for each other”.
Although they were pictured together at a party for Ant and Dec in October, it is thought that they went as close friends as they had already parted ways as a couple.
