Rihanna gave people queuing for her concert a massive surprise

What a hero.

There will always be a couple of hundred hardcore fans who queue up for a concert hours before the gates even open.

We saw it for Bruce Springsteen when he was in town a month ago and it’s bound to happen for Beyoncé when she comes to Croke Park next weekend.

People travel from different countries and neighbouring towns to queue to get the best seats/view in the house. They’ll persevere through all sorts of weather to ensure they get in ahead of the crowd.

Rihanna’s fans are no different. They gathered yesterday for her Manchester gig and ended up getting a huge surprise from the singer herself for their efforts.

While they stood there patiently it began to rain. They continued to wait until the gates of the Emirates Old Trafford Stadium opened for the concert.

Meanwhile, Rihanna heard about the dedicated few and decided to do something nice for them. She surprised them with a delivery of delicious pizzas and hot towels.

What a hero.

One person in the queue, Daniel Reading, told the Manchester Evening News, “We couldn’t believe it. The pizza was only sent to our side of the queue.”

“It was sent with a message from Rihanna, apologising for the weather.”
