Paula Patton has finally broken her silence about her husband's performance with Miley Cyrus at the MTV Video Music Awards last month.
The 37-year-old actress laughed off the controversy surrounding her husband's performance and claimed that she was more shocked by the public's reaction.
Patton appeared on the Today Show and even showcased a few moves of her own with Weatherman, Al Roker.

Patton twerks up a sweat with Weather man, Al.
Thicke performed an extremely raunchy rendition of his song 'Blurred Lines' with Cyrus and Paula gave her honest opinion about the events.
"I've got to be honest with you, I don't know what people thought Miley was going to do... I mean, sit down and play piano?" Fair point.
"You know what is so funny? He finished, and I was like, 'That was great! You guys killed it!' Woke up the next morning, it was like, I got all these texts, like, 'Praying for you,' 'Hey, I'm here for you.' I'm like, 'What?!'"

Patton then suggested that critics may simply be out of touch.
"I don't know if you guys have been to a club lately, but that's how girls dance at the club," she continued.
"My friends dance with him like that. It's just what they do."
"I want him to express himself however he feels, and he lets me do the same," Patton added.
