A source from Scotland Yard said that the staff member's decision to quit had nothing to do with "the Duke or Duchess" but it's also been said that Meghan may have found it difficult to get used to having a full security team.
Life as a member of the royal family is considerably different to life as a Hollywood actress and you can see it would take a considerable adjustment period.
According to The Express, Ken Wharfe, a former bodyguard of Princess Diana, had some strong opinions on the subject.
Meghan was due to meet with a group of businesswomen during her time in Fiji but had to leave due to crowd control issues and Ken suggests this may have led to confusion and a breakdown in communication between the two women.
He said:
"When you are working in royalty protection you are in a very intimate role with the principal. "There has to be some time to work out chemistry of the relationship and if the protection was found to be wanting in Fiji then that can’t have helped".You can see his point but again, it's important to mention that the official line is that the staff member in question had to leave for personal reasons and so, this decision was not influenced in any way by the Duchess of Sussex. Nonetheless, these reports have done nothing to stop the speculation...
