Ryan Reynolds On Being A Dad – Blake Is Not My Number One Any More

Ryan Reynolds has admitted that his new baby daughter has knocked wife Blake Lively off the top spot for him. The star revealed that the newest addition to their family has become the number one priority in the house. “I used to say to [Blake], ‘I would take a bullet for you. I could never love anything as much as I love you,’” Ryan explained to David Letterman. “I would say that to my wife. And the second I looked in that baby’s eyes, I knew in that exact moment that if we were ever under attack, I would use my wife as a human shield to protect that baby.” He also stressed though that he loves Blake even more since the arrival of their little girl. “I’m not one for vomiting declarations out across the airways, but when we had that baby, I fell more in love with my wife than I’d ever been in my life.” Turning the conversation back to their child he added, “Everyone thinks their baby is a genius. People find it delightfully refreshing when I tell them, ‘My baby? Totally average. Like, 100 per cent average.”
