Radio presenter Ryan Tubridy has admitted that when it comes to matters of the heart, there is no way that he could live in a loveless marriage. Well, at least he’s honest.

Ryan, who is known for being pretty outspoken at the best of times, was absolutely shocked yesterday when a listener who rang in to his 2FM show revealed that she had been stuck in an unhappy marriage for 28 years.

Ryan voiced his shock and admitted that there is no way he could put his own happiness aside and do the same thing.

“Is it worth it? Do you not want emotional, romantic engagement?” Ryan asked the caller.

“It’s not something I could do,” he added.

In 2003, Ryan tied the knot with Anne Marie Power, an RTE producer. The couple split in February 2006, after two years of marriage and have two children together. Since the split, Ryan has been dating the former Rose of Tralee Aoibhinn Ni Shuilleabhain.
