There has been outrage after Irish actress Saoirse Ronan was snubbed in the 2025 Golden Globe nominations.
The nominees may have included Irish actors like Colin Farrell and Andrew Scott, but fans were furious to see Ronan snubbed.
Ronan starred in both The Outrun and Blitz this year, with the actress receiving rave reviews for both roles.
However, she failed to secure a nomination in the Best Supporting Actress category for her role in Blitz.
Fans of the Irish actress said she deserved the nomination and couldn't believe she was omitted.

One wrote, "Let’s be honest. Saoirse Ronan deserved a Golden Globes nomination."
"She did say she is used to losing. This is sad!! Such a phenomenal actress. I grew up watching her work. Shocked to see she has never won any award!" another wrote.
Another also shared, "do y’all ever think of how insane it is that Saoirse Ronan, arguably the best actress of her generation, has only won one “big” award? and it was a Golden Globe. No BAFTA, no SAG, no Oscar. it’s quite criminal."
The Irish actress told Jimmy Kimmel that she has gotten used to it.
She quipped, "I just think I've gotten so used to losing now, like I don't win anything."
The Little Women star said her husband Jack Lowden also feels the same.
"We're a house of losers," she joked.
"So I've gotten so used to losing that I said to him, 'Okay, your category is like second one up, so when you lose, we'll go to the bar, because inevitably that's what's going to happen, we'll go to the bar and we'll get our popcorn and we'll have a great night and it won't matter that we both lost.'"
