Sharon Osbourne has revealed that she has been struggling with depression for the last 16 years.

The 62-year-old admitted to her co-hosts on The Talk that she has been taking medication for the last number of years in order to help her cope.

The former X Factor judge also revealed that there are some days that she just wanted to stay in bed and added that the reason that she hasn’t spoken out about it before is because nobody has ever asked her.

“Some days are better than others, and some days you feel like you just want to pull the sheets over your head and just stay in that bed and not do a damn thing – except rot,” she said.

It has been a rollercoaster of a journey for the star, having been diagnosed with colon cancer in 2002 before undergoing a double mastectomy ten years later.

“She had there chemotherapies a month and after nine months, the side-effects got worse and worse,” her husband Ozzy recently revealed in an interview with The Sun.

“She was having seizures – she was like The Exorcist, bouncing around the bed. I thought I was going to lose her.”
