Sherlock and EastEnders star Una Stubbs dies aged 84

Actress Una Stubbs, known for her roles in British TV shows like Worzel Gummidge, Till Death Us Do Part, Sherlock and EastEnders, has passed away at the age of 84.

Her agent confirmed Stubbs’ passing on Thursday, stating she died at her home in Edinburgh surrounded by her family. The same agent also told the BBC that Stubbs had been ill for some time.

Beginning her career as a dancer in the 60s, Stubbs went on to dominate the small screen for decades, appearing in shows such as Til Death Us Do Part, Til Death and In Sickness and In Health.

Stubbs later went on to appear in EastEnders, The Catherine Tate Show and Benidorm. She was most recently known as Mrs Hudson in BBC’s Sherlock.
