The White House released First Lady Michelle Obama’s new official portrait Wednesday showing off her new hairdo… and it’s fabulous.
The image was taken by White House photographer Chuck Kennedy. Michelle’s getting used to the role and is much more relaxed than in her 2009 portrait.

The portrait was taken in the Green Room (the last one was in the Blue Room for all you Obama trivia fans) and the focus is on her wedding and engagement rings.
Michelle shows off her new fringe that she told talk show host Rachel Ray was a result of her “mid-life crisis”.
The Obamas are putting a modern twist on presidency, Barack previously made history as the first president to have his official portrait taken with a digital camera as opposed to painted on canvas.
We'll say it... it's a nicer portrait than that of another famous wife this side of the Atlantic...
