She’s changed her name to Mrs Fernandez-Versini and now Cheryl is said to be planning to say goodbye to the final reminder of her marriage to Ashley Cole.
While she has been separated from the cheating footballer for several years, the Crazy Stupid Love singer has kept her ‘Mrs C’ tattoo at the base of her neck and the inking was on display during a recent party to celebrate her marriage to restaurateur Jean-Bernard.
However, The Huffington Post is now reporting that she has decided to remove the tattoo to mark the progress she has made in moving on from Cole.
“Cheryl is in bliss right now. It took her a long time to completely get over Ashley, but Jean-Bernard has swept her off her feet,” said a source.
“She’s torn over whether to get the tattoo lasered off though. She once vowed not to get another inking but something like a phoenix that would be symbolic of rising from the ashes would be very poignant.”
Cole, who married Fernandez-Versini after just three months of dating, opened up about her new relationship at the launch of her new fragrance Stormflower, telling host Marvin Humes that she is “enjoying it very much thank you”.
