Shocking Exit A Hoax: Chris Colfer’s Publicist Confirms That His Twitter Account Has Been Hacked

UPDATE 18.47: Chris Colfer's manager has denied that he is leaving the show. According to The Hollywood Reporter Colfer's publicist explained that his verified Twitter account has been hacked and that the actor will definitely return for the final season of the Fox musical. His rep also added that Colfer is on a mid-Atlantic flight without WiFi access and not immediately available to update his Twitter account. Earlier: In a fairly surprising turn of events one of GLEE’s main characters, Chris Colfer, has been let go from the award winning television series. Colfer who plays the role of Kurt Hummel took to his Twitter account to break the news to fans that he will not be returning for the final season of the show. The actor who has been a show regular since the Fox musical began five seasons ago, cited “personal issues” as the reason behind his exit.

The musical drama will return for its sixth and final season later in the year. Fox and 20th Century Fox Television has not yet commented on the news.
