Simon Cowell Is a Dad – Music Mogul and Girlfriend Welcome First Child

Simon Cowell and his girlfriend Lauren Silverman have welcomed their first child together, a baby boy. The 54-year-old jetted off to New York City earlier today when he heard Lauren had gone into labour. Simon, who is currently filming Britain’s Got Talent in the UK, had a private jet on standby just in case he had to rush off to be by her side. The little one, named Eric after Simon's father, is actually a few weeks early. He was said to be due at the end of February. Lauren gave birth at around 6pm this evening, reportedly in the same suite in Lennox Hill Hospital where Beyonce gave birth to Blue Ivy Carter. Simon and Lauren have welcomed their first child together.
