X Factor judge Simon Cowell has revealed this week that the band have permission to work on solo projects – as long as they don’t split up.
The 55-year-old, who is behind the boyband’s fame, told The Sun that he had no problem with the lads working on their own material.
“I hear Harry is going to go solo all the time,” he said. “My advice is they should stay together.
“They can still do things whenever they want. They should stay together."
There have been numerous rumours recently that the band are on the verge of a split - rumours which have all been denied by insiders.
