Sounds Like Even ITV Have Lost Interest in The XFactor

Ongoing negotiations could see the show move to another channel

It has been revealed that ITV is considering replacing The XFactor with The Voice.

The harsh blow comes as no real surprise as figures prove 2015’s show was the lowest rating series of all time. Reports suggest that the reality TV contest will be taken off the air and replaced with The Voice, which ITV purchased from the BBC in a multi-million-pound deal.

The claims coincide with the expiration of ITV’s contract for both The XFactor and Britain’s Got Talent.

However, a spokesman for Cowell’s record label Syco denied all claims, telling The Telegraph “X Factor will not be rested in 2017.”

According to The Telegraph, a TV source said:

“If ITV wanted to buy it and rest it for a year, the deal would simply not be signed.

“If ITV didn’t want it, somebody else most certainly would.”

That’s fighting talk.

2015’s finale was the least watched in XFactor history with an audience of a mere 8.2million, down more than a million from the previous year’s finale. The series winner Louisa Johnson entered the UK charts at number 9 and had the worst performing winner’s single in the show’s 11-year history.
