Actor Chris Pine has been banned from driving for six months in New Zealand.
The ban was handed down to the actor by a New Zealand court, after the 33-year-old pleaded guilty to drink driving, according to Stuff.
The actor had been celebrating the end of shooting his latest film Z For Zachariah in the region and was stopped by police after 3am. A breath test came back positive with 113 micrograms of alcohol which is 33 micrograms over New Zealand's legal limit.
Digital Spy reports that “Pine admitted to drinking four vodkas, but his lawyer argued a conviction would damage the actor's career”.
Judge Joanna Maze said that despite his fame, he would be treated like anyone else in New Zealand, and handed down a six month driving ban - which only applies in the country.
She also accepted that he was "entirely remorseful" and recognised his "considerable" donation to local charity, CureKids.
