One Direction’s Liam Payne has revealed this week that Mullingar lad, Niall Horan, actually wrote a song about Liam’s girlfriend Sophia.
The Irish singer apparently penned the words to the song Illusion which features on the band’s upcoming album Four. Now, according to bandmate Liam, the song is actually about his girlfriend.
“There is a song about Sophia and I didn’t write it, which is a bit weird,” explained Liam. “I wrote the melody for it. It’s called Illusion.
“Me and Julian – who we write songs with – were talking, we just went outside for a chat and I was telling him about what happened with me. After I left, he (Niall) went back and phoned me up like, ‘Hi, we wrote the whole song about Sophia’, and I was like… ‘Okay, this is strange..’” the singer, who has been dating Sophia since last year, finished.
Not to worry though, as the lads are just really good friends and Niall is known to turn his hand to writing songs for the band on a number of occasions.
The boys’ new album will be released on November 17th and they also announced that they will be returning to Ireland in 2015.
