Tasha Ghouri split from Andrew Le Page earlier this year
Former Strictly Come Dancing star Tasha Ghouri has opened up about her break-up from Andrew Le Page.
The dancer opened up about their surprise split in an interview with the BBC's Rylan Clark.
During their chat, Tasha admitted that she regrets how she treated Andrew following the end of their relationship.
She explained that they made it through Christmas 2024, but cracks had already started to appear in their relationship.
Tasha told Rylan that Andrew wasn't supporting her as much as she wanted him to during Strictly Come Dancing.
"Strictly happened, and that made us grow apart even more when it should have brought us closer, because it is such an intense 13 weeks. It’s a bubble."
"On social media, it did come across that he was supporting me, but emotionally at home, he wasn’t. I remember this one time I was in the dance-off in the semi-finals. I called him and said I feel really nervous. He was just sat there gaming."
Tasha said this was a wake-up call for her, and it was in that moment that she realised she wasn't happy enough.
By the time they got to Christmas, Tasha knew something had changed.
"My head was still in it, but my heart had left quite a long time before that. I think I emotionally checked out a while before."
She ended up calling things off in early 2025, but regrets how she handled their breakup.
"It’s weird, I feel like we never had that closing chapter. You know, when you have that last chat and you have that closure? We didn’t have that. And I feel like that’s still kind of lingering.’
"I really do hope one day we can get back in touch and find that civilness that we had before," she added.
"I really regret how I broke up with him. That's my biggest regret, how I treated him in that break-up. I should have been so much nicer than I was."
Shortly after they ended things, Tasha cut Andrew off, something she now realises was a mistake.
"I was just so anxious, like just being out and about socially. And I shut myself off from him. He didn’t deserve that. Like I should have been there for him as well. Because when all this came out, he was like, what is going on? And I was also trying to come to terms in myself of what was happening as well.”
Tasha and Andrew met during the 2022 season of Love Island.
