She’s a red carpet regular so we were kind of surprised to not see Christina Applegate at the Oscars but her absence comes with good reason, because the 41-year-old and her long-term partner Martyn LeNoble chose to stage their wedding on the same weekend.

Christina who found fame in the hit sitcom Married With Children was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2008 and found love with friend Martyn while she was battling the disease.

The couple who have been together since that time, have a two-year-old daughter named Sadie Grace and became engaged shortly after her arrival on Valentine's Day 2010.

The gushing bride has previously said that Martyn, who is a bassist with the band Porno for Pyros, helped her learn to accept her new shape following a double mastectomy and she credits him with her successful recovery.

The couple have been together since 2008

Speaking to More magazine in the US about their relationship, the mum-of-one said “We had always cared deeply for one another when we were friends.

“And he came and put me under his wing. That was it — he was supposed to come.”
