This time, it wasn't the younger royal rogue Harry who shocked the nation, but golden boy Prince William.

In a chat about their father's love of correspondance and charity work, Prince William described Prince Charles' terrible handwriting - and turned the air blue at the same time.

He said: "At school we regularly swapped letters and said 'I think I know what it says can you read it to me?', and it was just drivel!

"Just in case it was a bollocking we didn’t know about."
