Okay, so technically it was the worst-kept secret in the entire world, and we all knew it was true anyway, but that doesn’t mean that we can’t get excited now that it’s been officially confirmed.

Yes, we know, we know – you saw her lugging around that massive engagement ring absolutely AGES ago, and yes, you also heard him say a whole host of lovely things about her. But the pair have not once publically confirmed that they are engaged…until now that is…

MTV reports that Jessica accidentally let the new slip out during an interview with Jay Leno when she appeared on The Tonight Show this week.

Jessica was describing a recent visit to see Justin Timberlake in Puerto Rico when she accidentally used the F-word.

“I was visiting my fiancé there. He’s shooting a film there. So I’m vacationing. I’m having the best time of my life. It’s fantastic,” she said.

Then she realised what she said. Fiancé. Oops!

Jessica and Justin were reported to have gotten engaged last December, but they have remained tight-lipped about it until now.

According to reports, there is likely to be a wedding next summer, but no date has been made public as of yet, although chances are if we get Jess back on The Tonight Show she might let a date slip too.

We’re already ridiculously excited about the entire thing. What will she wear? What will he wear? And, most importantly, are there likely to be Timberlake babies in the world soon enough?
