Finbar Rock, owner of Simple Simon Health Food in Donegal Town, emphasised how much the locals love when the family come to visit.

Speaking to RTÉ TEN about Sarah, he said: “She’s bright and bubbly. They really are a lovely tight-knit family and it’s lovely to have them around.

“She loves our store and always buys our locally sourced honey.

“The locals welcome them with open arms, but they also appreciate that they need to give her space and respect her privacy.”

The star owns the house near Kilcar with her husband Matthew Broderick, who spent many of his childhood summers there.

The pair make it their business to take time out of their busy schedules to visit the village as often as possible with Sarah even admitting that they “try to replicate Ireland at home”.

We’re all about the healthy snacks, but we hope she tries some roast beef and a pint of the black stuff, too.
